Our Vision
Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. (SNCKI) is a 501c3 non-profit organization for individuals with Intellectual disabilities aged 13 and older. Services include a week-long summer day camp, a once-a-week program for adults, seasonal events, and advocating for their needs.

Our Mission
Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. (SNCKI) provides an educational and recreational, week-long summer day camp for individuals ages 13 and older with intellectual disabilities, supported by volunteer peer mentors. In addition to summer camp, SNCKI offers a once-a-week day program for adults, seasonal events, advocacy for individual needs, and resources for parents and guardians. SNCKI provides an encouraging, loving, and fun environment that enriches participants’ social development, educational growth, emotional well-being, and community awareness. Through the core principles of compassion, service, opportunity, and love, SNCKI exists to inspire future generations and help eliminate the stigma surrounding the disability community.
Our impact
Journey with Friends is a once-a-week program for individuals ages 21 and older with intellectual disabilities who have aged out of the public school system. The program provides a safe and inclusive place to build friendships, develop life skills, participate in activities, and stay connected to the community.
Special Needs Camp is a free, week-long summer day camp for individuals ages 13 and older with intellectual disabilities. Camp provides a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where campers can participate in activities, build friendships, develop independence, and make lasting memories alongside their peers and volunteer buddies.
Year-Round Events provide individuals with intellectual disabilities opportunities to reconnect with friends, have fun, and stay involved throughout the year. Special Needs Connections of Kentucky, Inc. hosts a variety of inclusive social activities and celebrations that bring individuals, families, and volunteers together in a safe and welcoming environment.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
SNCKI is entirely funded through donations. Without your support, we would not be able to host the events our individuals look forward to all year. All donations are tax-deductible. Contact any board or officer if you would like to donate.
